I always appreciate when someone is blunt with me and just says, "I don't know how" or "I don't know." As we strive to build our businesses I need to remember to extend the same courtesy as it applies.

Actually not my grandmother. No recipes were passed from either family. I think it was a survival thing. This recipe graces the inside of one of my cupboards. Long ago a wonderful lady I knew used to paint her favorite family recipes in her cupboards. I liked the idea of bringing friends, family and special memories into my kitchen.

We spent a quiet Saturday at home. My husband was working on his beautiful gate in our courtyard and while our son was napping my daughter decided to check on mom in the garden. It was to involve a power trimmer.

When I was nine, Lori and Lisa's grandma, "Grandma B" taught me to make banana bread. It was a sure hit with everyone I made it for and remains a hit. I had a need for a quick breakfast solution for our new kindergarten girl. Our daughter makes great food choices. And, she's prone to crashing if she
only has cold cereal or a frozen waffle -- even without syrup. Since I won't always be able to cram eggs or oatmeal
down her I needed an alternative.
Grandma B's banana bread has always been a favorite of hers so I put some healthy spins on it and held my breath while both children tested them. A HIT! A HUGE HIT! Whew...
