It was 103 today. Yes, we have AC. Yes we run it enthusiastically, but we still needed simply get out of the house. We took four children to see, "Space Chimps." The children were losing their minds to see this movie. We were grateful to find it at our local bargain theater. That took the sting out of this movie.
The chimps were fun, but it was as if 10 people had ideas and came up with them in different states. Then they brought their stuff, threw it in a pile and stapled it on a long staggered piece filled with the chimps. We watched this wondering, "WHAT? where did THAT come from?"
We are usually pretty generous on children's movies. The children had fun. But if you asked these three first graders their favorite part they all replied, "the music." That says a lot for the movie. Our preschooler son kept asking how much longer he had to watch it. Enough said.
