The best thing I can say about Dark Knight is to see it for the performance of Heath Ledger. That's about it. It was fun mixed with a bit much on the sadistic scenes side. Don't read the rest. It's a bit of a spoiler on minor elements. Not the big plot.
Commissioner Gordon's children are going to need SERIOUS therapy:
Daddy's dead, no he's not.
Daddy almost let me die, Batman saved me.
Batman is good, no we are chasing him.
Cops are good, no not all of them.
Poor kids.
Another non-ending. How can they replace Heath Ledger? He didn't even NEED the make-up. He OWNS this role.
This Batman, Christian Bale, he's still not annoying. He's our best option presented so far. The others were just silly or poor choices. We're still wondering how you mess up Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones and Nicole Kidman. I fault the script.
Dark Knight had about an hour and forty-five minutes of ideas but dragged it out for two and a half hours. Gary Oldman did well in his roll as Harvey Dent. Much better than Tommy Lee Jones was able to pull off.
I can't say I recommend this movie. If you can watch clips of Heath Ledger, that will be good enough. Some new gadgets.
