Recently I had a glorious 30 hours with my best friend in San Francisco. We spent a fantastic day at the deYoung Museum in Golden Gate Park. We looked across the gardens and saw another building. We had no ideas what it was and somewhat blew it off. WE blew it! We had an amazing night last night in Portland. We bought tickets - FACE VALUE for Squeeze at the Wonder Ballroom. I love skipping Ticketmaster. We enjoyed a great dinner at Russell Street BBQ and then stood in line for the show for a few minutes before being let in. It was general admission. We, of course, were right in front of the stage - not even one person away. It's a smaller venue which added to the excitement.

The best thing I can say about Dark Knight is to see it for the performance of Heath Ledger. That's about it. It was fun mixed with a bit much on the sadistic scenes side. Don't read the rest. It's a bit of a spoiler on minor elements. Not the big plot.

Big deals happen every day if we take the time to notice it. Today a right of passage, albeit small, happened to our daughter. It went something like this:
Dear Tooth Fairy,
Today I lost my first tooth. I’m sure you already know
that. Can you please leave it at my
house. It’s a big deal for me. That would be very nice.
Because I’ve been waiting for a while for my tooth to come
out and I really want to save it. I only
want to keep the first tooth. You can take the others when I lose them.
