This was the ODDEST Christmas special ever. This is further proof that free isn't always good. We were desperate for some holiday show that wasn't too long tonight. We ran through On-Demand, family/musicals category and saw the listing for an animated show about a boy who has a father in the military who leaves on Christmas Eve day and a special thing happens in a toy store. Nice, huh?
Our near four-year-old son liked it except that it ran quite long to get to the toys and then there was peril and dad turned up missing, blah, blah blah, and there was this tarty elf doll that was nice but totally self-absorbed, an Arnold type of Euro-muscle doll, token Native American girl doll, a black soldier doll and the blond "Super Duper Guy" co-star. Just WEIRD. We had our mouths open watching this strange show.
I can't say we would recommend this to anyone.
