I had the pleasure of delivering the last of my Christmas gifts this morning. There were only three cars on the streets. As I walked through our streets I saw a 40' tree in a prominent location lit up all the way to the top. How kind of them to hire the "guy" to shinny up the ladder to light that tree each year. It was beautiful with the manger scene below.
I continued my walk. Neighbors were out greeting each other with smiles, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays coming from them all. I was invited into several homes for a cup of coffee, waffles and other cheer as I walked through the neighborhood. I am filled with gratitude for the neighborhood in which we live.
We will have our white Christmas. The Advent calendars are emptied of all chocolate and all doors are open. The gifts are under the tree and we're sure Santa has the rest ready for delivery tonight. Looks like a Rudolph night in the making.
Merry Christmas to all of you.
