I recently went off sugars, most starches, etc. But, we also just went camping. I can't resist a good s'more when camping. This time, I decided to give myself an extra treat to go with a glass of red wine. This was created because we ran out of graham crackers and I had a starch/sugar Jones happening:
I don't recall my mother ever mentioning having these while she camped as a child. I'll have to ask Nina Eleanor and Aunt Mona if they did. Anyway, I made this up and really got hooked!
S'MORRITO.
- 1 flour tortilla heated up a bit.
- 1/4 cup shredded, sweetened coconut
- 1/3 - 1/2 THIN Hershey bar - dark is best.
- 2 JETPUFFED marshmallows roasted until swollen and GOLDEN all around. The brand is actually important in S'mores. They just go golden better and don't gray.
- Layer it in the warm tortilla and roll it up.
If you have one of those fish fry flat cage things for the grill, you can put it together ahead of time and roast as a package - MMMMMMM.
OH MY GOSH - it is SO good. Back to no starch today, but last night was fun.
